A couple of guys were waiting in a sports bar to watch the World Cup games. Because of one sentence that someone said, the conversation turned from soccer to gender issues: “My girlfriend loves to watch soccer, but she doesn’t understand the rules. She just likes watching those handsome soccer players.”
“Yeah! My girlfriend is the same, she just likes watching the games. Other people are cheering when they score a goal, but she is busy zeroing in with her camera on the soccer players who are celebrating!”
“Nowadays, women are so different. Before, women evaluated a man by his job, now women evaluate a man by his looks. Like my younger sister has a pretty good job, so she doesn’t need a man to support her. She wants me to introduce her to handsome guys with style who know about skin care…” So the conversation continued in this vein.
“What? They have to know about skin care? Why should men need to know about skin care? If guys are applying skin care products, isn’t that kind of sissy?” A man who couldn’t find a girlfriend suddenly cut in with this question.
“I also asked my younger sister the same question, because she is nearly thirty years old. She wants to find a spouse who is older than her, so that would be men who are over forty. My younger sister said, ‘There are two kinds of men: one kind maintains their appearance so they look thirty even though they are forty. The other kind don’t take care of their appearance so they look fifty even though they are forty, haha!’”
“So your sister probably means that men have to maintain their overall appearance, not just the skin! That means keeping their figure and things like that.”
“Yeah! And she also said that now lots of male celebrities and public figures also do skin care to make themselves look younger, especially those soccer players who have to be out in the wind and sun all the time. They have to be even more careful about facial skin care, only then will their promotional photos make girls scream!
“If even those super masculine soccer players have to maintain their appearance, than if normal guys do skin care they won’t be called sissy by the girls!” One wouldn’t think that male skin care was a more absorbing topic than sports, but the point was to use skin care to improve their image in the eyes of other women. Before, women wou
ld dress to impress, but nowadays, men also have to dress to impress, while not seeming sissy.
“You often write articles about gender issues, so you have a better understanding of a woman’s heart. Do women care about whether a man does skin care or not?” This question was suddenly thrown at Wright, who was in the midst of contemplating whether washing one’s face and body was actually a skin care method in and of itself, and had nothing to do with being sissy or not.
“I don’t know if women care about whether a man does skin care or not! But women do care about whether a man looks youthful or not. What women want is the result, not the process. Just like we men don’t really care about whether a woman has makeup on or not, what we care about is if the woman looks attractive on a date. Right?” Wright thought he had given a pretty logical answer.
“Your reasoning is sound. Do you have a skin care routine?” Wright got asked further questions.
“Yes, I drink red wine, that is the most natural method of skin care! Grape wine contains resveratrol, quercetin, catechol and phenolic substances, which are all natural antioxidants. They can delay aging and keep the body young. This kind of body maintenance is the most natural, and it follows the skin care concept of “Slow is Smooth. Smooth is Fast”.
Without waiting for Wright to finish his long monologue about the virtues of drinking grape wine, the other fellow interrupted: “Ok! Ok! You’ve said it a thousand times already, we all know that drinking grape wine is very good. Not only does wine have antioxidants, it also helps people relax. What we want to know is if there are any skin care products especially designed for men, like toner or moisturizer?”
“Why don’t you just borrow some from your wife or girlfriend?”
“To think that you would even say that! It’s way too sissy to borrow beauty products from your wife. Besides, female skin and male skin can’t be discussed in the same breath!”
“That’s true! If we borrow skin care products from our wife or our girlfriend, they’ll think that we’re suddenly starting to get into skin care because we’re fooling around with other girls out there. It’s better to find some skin care products tailor-made for men! If you have any good advice, please quickly share it with us!”
“You’ve got a point. If you borrow from your wife or girlfriend, they’ll have all kinds of suspicions. Anyway, female skin care products aren't suitable our thick and aged skin. Now let me tell you about my experience. I often travel abroad to Europe or America, and these places are extremely dry. My skin started cracking and peeling. Once when I was giving a class about grape wine, a student suddenly asked me, “You say that drinking grape wine can preserve youthful skin, but why is your skin so dry and cracked?” I explained that because I had just returned from the vineyard and had consumed a great deal of grape wine. But Asian skin has difficulty adjusting to European weather, especially after long plane flights. After talking privately with that student, I found out that he was actually a dermatologist. He introduced me to CREEKHEAL, a skin care brand that can only be accessed through dermatology clinics.” As he talked, he showed everyone pictures from his phone. “After using it, I fell in love with CREEKHEAL. I had confidence in CREEKHEAL because of the dermatologist’s professional counsel and endorsement. In the same way, having a wine expert’s recommendation and introduction gives people assurance when selecting grape wine.”
“Actually, moisturizing skin is extremely important. Although Taiwan’s climate is much wetter than that of Europe or the United States, Taiwan’s sunlight is much more intense. Sometimes if you go surfing by the sea, or go for an outing in the forest, after being outside for a whole day you can really feel how your facial skin becomes dehydrated. If you don’t want your facial skin to age rapidly, then skin care is a must.”
I use CREEKHEAL’s skin care series. It’s a simple three-step process: first face HE& Skin Purifying Foaming Cleanser, then HE& Skin Soothing Toner, and finally a HE& Supercharged Hydrator Gel.
